“Luxury is not a necessity to me, but beautiful and good things are.”

About
Trista Edwards is from neither here nor there & a little bit of everywhere.
Born in northeastern Ohio, Trista’s earliest memories are of crisp Midwestern gothic Halloweens, apple orchards, corn fields, county fairs & tractor pulls, and bonfires. Swapping out the farmlands of the Buckeye State for kudzu & the endless orchestra of cicadas, Trista moved with her family to the humid, lush, red clay state of Georgia when she was just a child. There she rooted herself deep in the Southern soil for the duration of her formative years, growing up a stone’s throw from Atlanta before eventually leaving the Peach State to attend graduate school in Texas.
Trista holds a B.A. & M.A. in English Literature from the University of West Georgia & a Ph.D. in Creative Writing from the University of North Texas. Most days you can find her brainstorming new fragrances for her candle shop, MARVEL + MOON, writing her novel, or working on one of her gothic dollhouses.
Trista currently lives in Hiram, Georiga with her husband, son, & daughter.
Obsessions:
Shirley Jackson, 80s horror, Halloween, perfume, candles, tall trees & miniature dollhouses.
Collections of beautiful & good things:
grave dirt, feathers, leaves, postcards, driftwood, dried rose petals, books, stones, vinyl records, monster memorabilia, & other strange & personal arcana from her travels.
